65 days and counting

I am getting married in 65 days. In 65 days I will experience the day I have been dreaming about for more than half of my 31 years. In 65 days!!!

If you haven't heard I am getting hitched in 65 days. I currently have a few things left to do. HA.

- second dress fitting in 2 weeks (hopefully along with a hair trial)
- fiance must pick what he is wearing...
- finish up the Cd favors, only 100 left to burn, then label all of them and figure out if we are adding a printed playlist to the back...probably not. i will leave people guessing. lol
- finish..errr.. begin making the bridesmaids gifts.
- start super crazy cleaning for the rehearsal BBQ that is happening in our backyard!
- have our food tasting at the venue, where will pick the times of all the days events
- which leads to finally printing and sending out the invites
- which leads to having a final table count
- which leads to making the centerpieces
- which leads to fights with the fiance...it hasn't happened yet, but it will.

there are probably at least ten- twenty other things I could mention, but I am tired. I work for 24 hours over the next two days and it just hit me that I need to go to bed. I did finally accomplish something I have been wanting to do for a long time this evening. I submitted a wedding I shot to theknot. I doubt it goes anywhere, but it was exciting nontheless.

no dress - go naked

So the dress buying experience was just that, an experience. I am happy that I got a chance to try on dresses with my mom and half of my 8 bridesmaids with me, but I realized a big gown wedding dress may not be what I am looking for. I am now on the lookout for a pretty bohemian style white or blush colored floor length dress. So this dress needs to be found asap..oh no, another excuse to go shopping. haha.

I had my first shoot of the year last week and it went so wonderfully and all I want to do is shoot more! where's spring at already?!!

The planning is really starting to come together with the wedding. The ceremony/reception site is booked and a ton of tiny little things are coming together! The cake and cupcakes and decorations and flower girl and ring bearers. My mom bought all the favors ( which are going to be music cd's with my fiance and i's favorite love songs.) We have to start getting them done soon! The next thing to do is take our engagement photos - yes I am still determined to do it myself. Will let you know how that goes!

henry + webber wedding

This past September I had the amazing opportunity to take the photos at my soon to be sister in laws wedding :D Here are just a few of my favorite shots. I loved her vision and how every little detail was so thoughtful and so very her. I am definitely going to steal a few ideas for my own big day, such as the enormous Italian cookie table (with my own added popcorn and candy).

I have found the location I want to have my ceremony and reception at but unfortunately I have not had any return calls or emails back to confirm any available dates. I am trying to be patient but time is running out because we need to get our save the dates out into the world OR we won't have anyone but our parents and wedding party attending. (not that that wouldn't be a party in and of itself, haha) 

I have however heard back from the dress store about my very important appointment to try on wedding dresses for the first time ever on Saturday! I am over the moon excited - I can not stop grinning! I am crossing my fingers that the look I have in mind actually looks the way I hope it will. I want to keep with the bohemian forest-y whimsical vibe that I have going.

It's 2015 and what better way to start a new and very exciting year but by opening up a new blog (do people still say blog..?). This will be a place to help me concentrate on reaching my goals and the missteps along the way. The dream goals being full time photographer/editor/traveler/wife.

So far I have 2 shoots booked, one of which is my own Engagement Photo session! Look forward to seeing how that turns out?! (Yes - I plan on taking my own Engagement photos.) The second is a sexy pin-up / boudoir shoot for Valentines Day with a gorgeous new client!

Lots of amazing shoots happened in 2014 and I will post photos very soon..

This will also be a place for my thoughts as I plan my wedding on no budget and a little (I mean A LOT) of help from our friends and family.

A few quick things to note about me -
